Dublin was a stopover for me before I took four days later the flight to Toronto in Canada. When I decided to stay in Spain and didn't take my booked flight in the end of May I looked for the last flight back to Dublin. Therefore I could stay nearly 3 month in Spain. During my stay in Dublin I lived at Serena's house. She was also the one who stored my big luggage when I took just a small backpack with me to Spain. She is really a great and hospital person. When I came back to Dublin it felt...

Sooo before I finally flew to Alicante a lot of interesting and funny things happened which I would like to share with you in this post. Actually, I felt really sad when I left Tara's family... After 3 weeks I felt so great at her place... However, lovely Tara brought me with her boys to the bus station in Cork where I took the bus to Kilrush. In Kilrush I attended the two days Heal Your Life workshop based on Louise Hay's philosophy. At this workshop I met four other lovely women who attended...

I was very excited and happy to spend the next three weeks in a family: with Tara and her three boys (Fiagh 2, Ruari 11 & Cian 15 years), a French student (Cyprien 10 years) and her dog Cumhara in Garretstown Beach close to Kinsale. Well, I love the area here :-). I had really a great time in Tara's family and I felt immediately integrated and comfortable there and this very special community. Even I see that I need usually a couple of days to settle in at a new place. But that's ok though....

One aim of my journey is to try out different things I have never done before in my life to get more open minded and get also new inspirations and ideas. Actually the most of the ideas and inspirations I receive from the people I meet on my journey. For example if I hadn't met Tamara, then I hadn't probably never attend the African drum circle in Kinsale... I finally made it before I left Kinsale again for a while. Pot luck dinner in Kinsale for saying 'Goodbye' to the housekeepers Yin and...

Back in Kinsale I decided I'll check out the riding opportunities due to on the farm it wasn't possible. I found something but it was pretty far away from the city center. But on the map it looked like it was very close and reachable by food... When I started my walk to the riding school I saw it wasn't possible to be on time there. Therefore I turned back to my hostel and I thought I'll organize it on the next day... In my hostel I met the new housekeepers Yin a girl from Malaysia and Libby...

One more advantage of leaving the farm was that I could catch up with my brother in Dublin during his stay there. He and his girlfriend from Mexico did a tour through Europe and Ireland was one of their destinations. That meant for me: "Finally normal people!" ;-). Well, me and my brother we have the same humor and mostly it ends up in never ending laughter. We just need to look to each other and we'll start again. Also when we are together we get very wired ideas but we understand the other...

After 4 weeks my job in the hostel in Kinsale was over and I prepared for working on a farm in New Ross. I planned that job in advance when I was in Germany. The next hosts I wanted to organize in Ireland. So after the farm I was open for everything. Nice was that my new hosts in New Ross wrote me it will be possible to ride. Great I thought at that time! I bought a riding helmet in Germany and brought it with me to Ireland. A bit annoying in my luggage but ok safety first :-). Farm experience....

I get a bit of daily business in Ireland even everyday is totally different and exciting. Therefore I had to go to the hairdresser to get a bit of structure... Going to the hairdresser was one of my biggest fears in sense of "what if they mess up my hair...?". Well, I think this is something what only women can understand... But I found really a great hairdresser here in Kinsale who made me brighter... Getting brighter - During my varnishing session. I'm also a little bit high due to the smell...

After almost a month I'm thinking I slowly settle in here in Ireland Actually, I feel very comfortable in Kinsale and enjoy working in the hostel and doing different work. I feel really relaxed now. In addition I have no other chance due to my boss who always tells me "You can finish the work tomorrow... Doesn't matter... Here take a coffee... Take a break... No problem at all... Do you want to go out tonight - just let me know... Really, that doesn't need to be finished now...". Well, you see...

I took the bus from Cork to Kinsale where my first job in a hostel started. I found it on workaway which is a great page which I highly recommend if you plan to do something similar like I do. Kinsale will be my first long term stay after exactly 14 days of traveling through Ireland and meeting new people everyday. That means I have the opportunity to calm down and check out some new activities which I can try in Kinsale. Sounds great! My new favorite place - Poets Corner in Kinsale. Great tea,...
