what do you feel like doing today
25. March 2018
I'm on the road again and I see it is a long time ago that I wrote any post. Actually I didn't feel like writing even if I love it. It is like a therapy for me and a relief for my busy mind. But I just didn't feel like. Right now I'm travelling through Nicaragua and I will be here for one month. The reasons why I'm here are simple: I have never been here and my friend Verena I have met in Barcelona liked it a lot, here I found a volunteer place to learn about Permaculture which I'll start soon...

It's interesting how life goes and how fast things change... Something what was bucking you in one moment is suddenly solved or has less priority. And you realise what is really important to you... Many things happened since I wrote my last post which was just a week ago. It cost me a lot to write and open up again. I changed my last post quite a few times. However, I had an interesting encounter with someone who was very eagerly to get to know to me. He found me on Facebook and I accepted his...

I’m so thankful that I have the opportunity through my hikes, yoga classes and tours to get to know to very inspiring and nice people. For example on Saturday I did my third hike with Yoga and meditation and 14 very lovely and inspiring people joined me and shared Yoga, meditation and their personal story with me and the group. It is so much fun for me to connect myself and others and being in nature. Actually after coming back from visiting Germany a week ago I fell into a deep hole... Well,...

A couple of days ago I went with Andrea (the German woman I live with right now) and her cute dogs to a village called Llano Grande in the mountains of Oaxaca. It’s part of an ecotourism project that helps to maintain the forest and integrates the people there. I saw that I needed it badly: connecting with nature and be in a place without any internet connection and in silence. It helped me to rethink some things. During walking through the forest and watching the simple life of the people...

I have a little ritual that I do always on the 1st of January since I was 14 years old. For every year I use a small agenda and write on the first page a motto and affirmations for the coming year and I read again my motto and affirmations from the last year and reflect it. I love doing it and I always look forward to write the first sentence in my agenda. My recent New Year’s reflection brought me to the following thoughts I would like to share with you. It’s about following our dreams and...

It might be a little early for a review of 2015 but I had the urgent need to write my following thoughts down. This year was or rather is the year of friendships for me. I learnt to appreciate friendship and what a gift it is to have friends with whom I feel connected with and understood. I just realized a couple of days ago how amazing it is to know that I have friends in Germany who are actually waiting for me and think of me. As well I am always happy if I receive a lovely message from one...

A couple of days ago I visited Madrid and caught up with my younger brother and his girlfriend. I haven't seen him for 1,5 years due to my travels. Time runs... In the park El Retiro in Madrid I reflected some things about myself, my current situation and my dreams.

“I am near-sighed and need to wear glasses or contact lenses as help to see clearly. But when I have tears in my eyes I can see clearly in that very moment… In every sense.” Jeanine I had the urgent need to write the following post before I completely adapt and forget... Well, I underestimated what it means to come back to Europe after 10 months abroad. Especially after 6 months living very in Mexico and Guatemala… Life is very different from Europe with all its advantages and...

A couple of days ago I had an open-minded conversation with a friend of mine in San Cristóbal de las Casas in Mexico in the hostel where I’m working for. I told my friend that I wanted to write about how reliving “giving up” can be. I mentioned an example from a Buddhist book. Well, his answer let me think... It reminded me about the more we have the more we fear to lose. I call it the “American Beauty” effect. Well, and everyone who lived for a while in a shared apartment while...

I had the urgent need to write the following post down about holding on to things and attachment. I wrote it during my stay in Oaxaca in the beautiful Alma de Café. It is a post about attachment to things and people. It’s also about facing fears and about holding a coin properly in your hand.
