After almost a month I'm thinking I slowly settle in here in Ireland Actually, I feel very comfortable in Kinsale and enjoy working in the hostel and doing different work. I feel really relaxed now. In addition I have no other chance due to my boss who always tells me "You can finish the work tomorrow... Doesn't matter... Here take a coffee... Take a break... No problem at all... Do you want to go out tonight - just let me know... Really, that doesn't need to be finished now...". Well, you see...

I took the bus from Cork to Kinsale where my first job in a hostel started. I found it on workaway which is a great page which I highly recommend if you plan to do something similar like I do. Kinsale will be my first long term stay after exactly 14 days of traveling through Ireland and meeting new people everyday. That means I have the opportunity to calm down and check out some new activities which I can try in Kinsale. Sounds great! My new favorite place - Poets Corner in Kinsale. Great tea,...

When I arrived in Cork my mood got immediately up. Even it was raining this town has something what still attracts me and makes me feel home. In addition there was nothing to see anymore from the flooding a few days ago. I have been in Cork in 2009 but just for one day. But even it was just for one day I still remember it very well. Let me feel home: Muenster and Cork For me it's like a great mixture of Irish culture, the size of my hometown Muenster, hence not that anonymous and the...

Nice place for a having a chat Norman told me it's such a nice place where I have to go. Well, he was right! The village is lovely and has a lot of interesting places there. And of course it's the hometown of the Boss...

I took the advice from my host Norman and traveled from Galyway to Tralee. Unfortunately, at that very time Cork and other cities were pretty much affected by flooding. Therefore I had to stay a few days more in Tralee as I had usually planned. Tralee offers a lot of possibilities for excursion In Tralee I learnt that Guinness is the typical beer either for older people or tourists, therefore I switched to Hackenberg. In addition I learnt the Irish way to repair a mobile phone by holy rice and...

Galway was a complete new experience for me in every way. The mirror of happiness :-) I experienced the first time CouchSurfing, nice homemade Pakistan food and what to do with the green pepper (ok it was already too late but now I know it for sure...), where the term lynch law comes from, how to call a German chef in the kitchen and about Galway's meaty water... And don't forget about the Travelers.

After Ireland literally had blown me down during my first night, I drove on the next day to the Titanic's birthplace: Belfast! It was just a short trip but it gave me some first impressions about the city's culture. In addition I had the opportunity to spend the pounds there which I still had from my trip to Scotland in 2013 (to be honest, I found them again when I moved out from Muenster. I had no idea that I still had them...). Works in all weather: Sightseeing tour by bus
