I was very happy to be in Vancouver again and at the Jericho Beach after I changed all my plans and left Vernon. I stayed for 5 days in Vancouver and everything felt great. My Yoga teacher training in Nelson (BC) would start in mid October therefore I checked out what I could do until then. I had some ideas but I also check out what my agency SWAP based in Vancouver would recommend to me. Coming back to Vancouver was just great. On the next morning after my arrival I had a nice breakfast and a...

Finally I arrived after 3 days in Vancouver. I took the bus from Toronto. It was 5.30 am and I was quite tired. I knew that my hostel has a 24 hour reception which was great and I took a taxi to it. I just wanted to have a shower and couldn't proper think. After a great shower in my hostel and nice breakfast I went to the Jericho beach and just enjoyed the beauty around me. Yes, I did alright. Vancouver mirrored for me the image I had about Canada: lots of nature. I have to admit that I didn't...

I came by blablacar from Cádiz to Malaga. That is a common way to get from one point to another in Spain. I was really lucky and had a nice driver: Adriana who is a professional snowboarder and has a great taste for music. Malaga was for me just a stopover before I went to my next volunteer job in a meditation center close to Malaga. I stayed there for 8 days. Quite a long stopover... I have to admit that I don't really like Malaga. I mean in comparison to other cities I saw so far in Spain....

My friend Marco from Muenster gave me a lift to Cádiz the oldest town in Europe. There I just wanted to relax and get some ideas for my blog in sense of what I could add to it etc. The atmosphere was perfect for that! A lot of creative energy and very nice and easy going people. I lived in a very nice and cosy hostel where I felt home: the DeCadiz Cadi. Moreover I went for free to the No Sin Música festival, I watched with a Portuguese guy from Stuttgart the game Germany vs Portugal and I met...

I would like to share here my story with you when I met someone in Alicante who showed how easy life and joy can be and made me feel unique and happy. This post is dedicated to him. I still have a broad smile on my face if I think about this open minding and nice experience which started like this... After my strange CouchSurfing experience and checking in at the X Hostel I finally went to the beach in Alicante. There I became aware about the freedom I have. What a great feeling to go when I...

I'm loving my life in Alicante where I'm for the next 20 days and work there. This time I found a host through helpx. And since I'm arrived there happened a lot of interesting and open minding things. All that before I went to my host. That means in the first three days... For example I experienced a small culture shock after 3 month in Ireland. Moreover my second CouchSurfing experience was very...ehm...different... hence I was very relieved when I went into the X Hostel where I met very nice...

I was very excited and happy to spend the next three weeks in a family: with Tara and her three boys (Fiagh 2, Ruari 11 & Cian 15 years), a French student (Cyprien 10 years) and her dog Cumhara in Garretstown Beach close to Kinsale. Well, I love the area here :-). I had really a great time in Tara's family and I felt immediately integrated and comfortable there and this very special community. Even I see that I need usually a couple of days to settle in at a new place. But that's ok though....
